noun. air, bearing, or demeanor, as showing character, feeling, etc.; a person’s look, expression, countenance, aura.
this collection aims to consider the human being’s obsession with the face as a frame for personal expression, enshrine the neurotic self, and reunite the internal and abstract self with the warm and physical body-vehicle.
to represent the internal self, this line’s initial focus is the head, the face, and the décolletage -- referencing the portrait, the marble bust, the powder room mirror. the line features top-heavy ensembles, combining ornate headpieces and collars with airy and translucent body-pieces.
